The highest reward for our toil is not what we get for it but what we become by it. … Mistakes are not failures. They are proof that we are making an effort. When we understand that, we can more easily move out of our comfort zone, try something new, and improve. … Improvement demands a commitment to grow long after the mood in which it was made has passed.” — John C. Maxwell

BIGGEST LESSON LEARNED:
“Don’t be on your deathbed someday, having squandered your one chance at life, full of regret because you pursued little distractions instead of big dreams.”

BEST SCIENCE:
Treatment with infrared light therapy is simple and painless. Flexible pads, each containing multiple infrared lights, are placed directly on the skin over the area of pain or injury. Energy from the lights penetrates beneath the skin and is absorbed by deep tissues.

Hosts best choice: DPL II Light Therapy System

The DPL II red & infrared LED light therapy system covers the largest treatment area in this list, and contains 96 infrared bulbs (880 nm), 32 dark red bulbs (660 nm), 32 red bulbs (630 nm) and 32 amber bulbs (530 nm).

DPL Panel System Pros:
Large treatment area
2-panels – can be attached to any area with the Velcro strap
Hands-free operation
Timer and auto shut-off
Easy to use

Cons:
Not a great fit for travel due to size
May not feel comfortable directly on skin.

TO WATCH: In 2009 Bronnie wrote an online article called Regrets of the Dying about her time as a palliative carer. Working with dying people and developing close relationships with them during their last weeks resulted in raw, honest conversations about life and death, including what the patients wished they had done differently.
